The story of Troy

TROY

A long time ago, in ancient Greece, there was a city called Troy. This city was strong and had big walls. The Greeks wanted to conquer Troy because Prince Paris of Troy took Helen, the beautiful wife of a Greek king, Menelaus.

The Greek army sailed to Troy and fought for ten years, but they could not enter the city. Then, a clever Greek

named Odysseus thought of a smart plan. The Greeks built a big wooden horse and hid their soldiers inside it.

They left the horse outside Troy and pretended to sail away.

The people of Troy thought the horse was a gift and pulled it into their city. That night, Greek

soldiers climbed out of the horse. They opened the city gates, and the rest of the Greek army entered. Together, they defeated Troy. The story of Troy teaches us about war, clever ideas, and the dangers of pride. Today, people still remember the bravery and the tragedy of Troy.
