Introducing yourself

Introduce yourself to the class (A2 Level)

Hello everyone,

My name is Mert and I am 16 years old. I am very happy to be in this class with all of you. I hope we can have a great time together.

I live in a small town with my family. I have one younger sister. Her name is Emily, and she is 10 years old. We also have a cute dog named Max. I like to play with him in the park.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books and watching movies. My favorite book is "Harry Potter" because the story is magical and exciting. I also like sports, especially soccer. I play on a local team every weekend. It is a lot of fun and good exercise.

My favorite subject in school is science. I find it very interesting, and I like doing experiments. I also want to learn more about computers because technology is very important today.

In the future, I want to travel to different countries. I think it would be amazing to see new places and meet new people. I also hope to learn other languages. Right now, I am learning Spanish, and it is quite interesting.

Thank you for listening. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and having a great school year together.

Introduce yourself to the class (B1 Level)

Hello everyone,

My name is Elif, and I'm thrilled to be a part of this class. I'm 15 years old and a sophomore this year. I live in a suburban neighborhood with my family—my parents, my older brother Alex, and our adorable golden retriever, Bella.

I’ve always been passionate about music. I play the piano and have been taking lessons since I was seven. Playing music is a great way for me to express my feelings and relax after a long day at school. Besides piano, I recently started learning the guitar, which has been both challenging and rewarding.

When it comes to academics, my favorite subject is literature. I enjoy reading novels and writing my own stories. My favorite book is "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee because it offers so many valuable life lessons and insights into human nature. I also like history because it helps me understand how past events shape our present.

Outside of school, I love to stay active. I’m on the school's volleyball team, and I also enjoy jogging in the nearby park. Keeping fit is important to me, and being part of a team teaches me the value of cooperation and perseverance.

Looking ahead, I aspire to go to college and explore a career that combines my love for writing and history, possibly journalism or teaching. I am eager to learn more about the world and hopefully travel to various countries. Visiting places like Paris and Tokyo is on my bucket list because I want to experience different cultures and cuisines.

Thank you for listening to my introduction. I'm looking forward to an exciting year ahead and getting to know all of you better. Let's make the most of this school year together!
