1. Ordering Coffee:

Customer: Hi, can I have a large black coffee, please?

Barista: Sure, one large black coffee coming right up. That'll be $3.50.


2. Asking for Directions:

Tourist: Excuse me, can you tell me how to get to the museum?

Local: Of course! Go straight down this street, take a left at the second intersection, and you'll see it on your right.

5. Meeting a Friend:

Person 1: Hey, long time no see! How have you been?

Person 2: I've been good, thanks. How about you?

Person 1: The weather has been really nice lately, hasn't it?

Person 2: Yes, it's been lovely. I hope it stays this way for the weekend.


7. Asking for Help:

Student: I'm having trouble with this math problem. Can you help me?

8. Ordering Food at a Restaurant:

Customer: I'll have the chicken pasta, please.

Waiter: Sure thing. Would you like any drinks with that?

Friend 2: I enjoy reading and going for long walks. How about you?

Person 1: Do you have any exciting plans for the summer?

Guest: Hello, I'd like to book a room for two nights, please.

Store Employee: I'm so sorry about that. Let me help you exchange it for a new one.

Employee 1: I think we should start working on the new project proposal.

Employee 2: Agreed. When do you think we should schedule a meeting to discuss the details?


15. Talking about Travel Experiences:

Traveler 1: Have you ever been to Asia? I just came back from a trip to Japan.

Traveler 2: No, I haven't been there yet. How was your experience?


16. Having an Argument 

Emma: Jake, please, just hear me out. It’s not at all what it looked like.

Jake: What it looked like? Emma, it was pretty clear to me! How do you even explain that?

Emma: If you’d just give me a moment to explain, you’d understand. It's not what you’re thinking, you’re jumping to conclusions!

Jake: Conclusions? Emma, I saw it with my own eyes! Do you think I’m blind?
